MEXICO FALL TO COLOMBIA

Despite having a number of stars in their ranks, the Mexican National football team could not avoid defeat in the match against Colombia recently.

The Colombian national football team manager to beat the Mexican team 2-0 in the recent friendly. Goals from Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado helped Colombia beat Mexico convincingly.

Radamel Falcao opened the scoring in the 37th minute to get Colombia an advantage going into the break. They soon took advantage of the goal by dominating the final few minutes of the first half. Mexico were extremely unlucky to concede the goal after Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa had tried his best to stop the shot from Dorlan Pabon. Pekerman would have been extremely happy following the victory, as he was just replacing the outgoing coach Leonel Alvarez. One of the biggest advantages for Columbia was their strengthen the wings.

"Our players displayed will and determination throughout the match. Mexico had been playing at a high level of football and we were able to win. This group can continue to make progress,'' Pekerman said. Mexico will have been extremely disappointed with the result, but will be hoping that their luck turns around in the match against Guyana.

This match is a World Cup qualifier for the CONCACAF regions and it will be taking place on June 8. Despite the score, Mexico were always looking capable of scoring a goal against Colombia, and they would have been extremely disappointed to come out with nothing from the match.
