Mexico will be meeting Bosnia and Portugal in the final two friendly matches just before the World Cup. After having come close to being denied the opportunity to be in this competition, Mexico qualified at the last instance. No, they will be hoping to leave their mark in the competition by coming to form at just the right stage in the season. The Mexico manager, Miguel Herrera, has stated just before the start of the friendly matches that the Bosnia friendly encounter will be the most crucial of all.

Mexico have gone through a lot of troubles in the qualification stage of the World Cup 2014. They have gone through several managers and poor form, but they have at last made it to the competition.
Since they have come through a lot of ordeal, manager Miguel Herrera says that this may be the country’s best chance to win the World Cup. He says that Mexico are no longer targeting a finish in the last 16 stage of the competition, but they are even looking to go to the final.

Mexico faces a huge fight in order to win back fans after a disappointing 2013 confederations cup. The team failed to create any sort of impact in this tournament, which is the precursor to the World Cup 2014.
After having managed to narrowly get into the competition, Mexico’s new manager Miguel Herrera says that he is not concerned about the lack of stars within the team. The national team will be up against Brazil, Cameroon, and Croatia in the group stages. Brazil are not only the favourites to win the group, but also the tournament itself.

Mexico were recently left disappointed after the decision taken by striker Carlos Vela not to be part of the team for the upcoming World Cup 2014. Mexico only narrowly managed to qualify for this tournament, but they will have to perform in Brazil without one of the best strikers on board.

New Mexican manager Miguel Herrera has placed to the task of getting at least to the last eight of the World Cup 2014. The group stages for this major tournament have just been announced and it has been learned that makes it will be playing alongside hosts Brazil amongst others.
Croatia and Cameroon are the other members, thus making it a very strong group. Mexico recently appointed Miguel Herrera as manager in order to help the team qualify for this tournament and also do well. This was due to the poor showing of the nation at the 2013 Confederations Cup.

Mexico's recently appointed temporary coach Miguel Herrera has said that he wants to remain focused ahead of the match with New Zealand.
Mexico recently sacked José de la Torre after a of poor results, which also saw the team perform very poorly at Brazil 2014. The World Cup qualifying campaign has also suffered under the regime of the former manager and Herrera was brought into rectify things. He has more than satisfied everyone after guiding Mexico into the World Cup finals.

Mexican striker Javier Hernandez has been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United in the last few months. Even though he scored more than 20 goals in his first season at the club, Hernandez has found first-team opportunities difficult since then.
He has often been on the substitutes bench with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie preferred up front. Since this could potentially hamper his chances of playing in the 2014 World Cup with the Mexican national team, it is thought that he is pressing for away from United.

The president of the Mexican football Federation, Justino Compean has confirmed that manager Jose Manuel de la Torre will remain in charge of the national team going into the 2014 World Cup. The manager has come under a lot of fire in recent months due to poor run of results.
He was widely expected to lose his job after the end of the Confederations cup. However, Compean has said that he will remain as the manager, but his position will be reviewed after a few months. Mexico recently won the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but they failed to defend this tournament under the management of de la Torre.

Mexico were knocked out of the Confederations cup despite managing a victory over Japan in the final group match between the two teams. Mexico manager Jose Manuel de la Torre came under intense pressure after his team suffered an embarrassing defeat in the first two matches of the group stages.
This almost ended any hope of Mexico managing to progress into the knockout stages. It was confirmed despite the 2-1 win over Japan. Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez managed to score two goals as he set Mexico on their way to their first victory in the competition.
