To Replace Jose Cardozo, Chivas Appointed Tomas Boy
Chivas the giant of Liga MX have appointed Tomas Boy the veteran player as the new head coach of the club. The announcement in this regard has been made by Guadalajara club recently. Previously, Boy has managed rivals of Chivas' city Atlas and entered in the club with the team down in the 14th position in Liga MX also with the minimum opportunity of making the playoffs 2019 Clausura.
Chivasa said, “ With complete awareness of scenarios and situations and big career in Mexican football that many time has to be confronted, Tomas Boy know well how to inculcate self-esteem in his teams, so the team goes out on the ground to give their best.” This he said in one of his recent interviews.
“Chivas is set to be near the relegation table of Liga MX, beginning of the next season“ and Boy has helped Atlas to avoid further dropping not just one time, but in multiple occasions. Boy substitute Paraguayan Jose Cardozo, Cardozo was sacked on 31st of March. At home, to Lobos BUAP Chivas lost 1-0, “the means the team“ has only one point from their previous six league games.
In an interview, after been appointed as the Head coach, Boy said, "I have experience of handling hot potatoes and teams that struggle with relegation. This is the reason I am here to take this challenge. I don’t care about people, they can say what they wish and accuse me of doing many things that are wrong according to them, but, my intention of coming here is to help Chivas and no one can say no to Chivas." On Saturday, Chivas traveled to Morelia to play the first game under the new in-charge of team Boy, who is now 66 years old.
