MEXICO THRASH SURINAME IN NATIONS LEAGUE

Mexico have kicked off their 2022/23 CONCACAF Nations League campaign in style following the big win over Suriname at home. The two teams met for a CONCACAF Nations League clash in Group A1 on Saturday.


Suriname and Mexico are in a three-team group with Jamaica as far as the current CONCACAF Nations League campaign is concerned. The Mexicans were overwhelming favourites ahead of their home game with Suriname and they lived up to that status with three goals. Israel Reyes gave Mexico a dream start in the fourth minute before Club America striker Henry Martin doubled the lead from the penalty spot five minutes before the half-time break. The Mexicans established a two-goal lead at the break thanks to the goals from Reyes and Martin.
