Hernandez was given his debut, as he started the match upfront for Guillermo Barros’s side, but it was Christian Pavon who opened the scoring for the away side in the 13th minute. The match ended 1-0 in the first half in favour of The Galaxy. But they could not hold Houston for too long in the second half. The host got the equalizer through Mauro Manotas 10 minutes after the restart. The match ended 1-1 as both sides shared the spoils.
