FC Cincinnati Confirm The Capture Of Acosta From Mexican League

FC Cincinnati have finally completed the signing of one of the Mexican League's finest players Luciano Acosta and the player will link up with his new club with immediate effect so he can join the squad in preparations ahead of their pre-season games. Acosta is joining Cincinnati Football club from Mexican outfit Atlas Football Club and his move to the Major League Soccer has finally been confirmed after several weeks of the MLS outfit tracking the player.

FCC paid a sum of $250,000 to Atlas FC as the total agreed amount excluding incentives and performance-related bonuses which will be paid directly to the player once he reaches some set of milestones and personal achievements at his new club. Upon agreeing to sign for the club, the midfielder has penned a deal that will run for three years, and there is an option of an extension included in the deal.

26-year-old Acosta already owns a permanent residence in the United States and will walk straight into the senior team. He will also have his name added to the club's roster which will be submitted right before the beginning of the new season which is just around the corner.

Gerard Nijkamp, Cincinnati Football Club's General Manager, spoke of how very delighted he is at the completion of the deal , adding that he has been a fan of the player for some time now since the very first time he appeared under their radar. Nijkamp said Acosta will be a very important player for the club and that he will ensure that everything is put in place so that he can utilize his full potentials during his stay at his new home.

The exciting midfield star has a total of 230 appearances in his career so far and having scored a total of 32 goals, he has recorded a number of 38 assists as well. Making it a total of 70 goal contributions in 230 appearances (164 starts).
