Mexico international Javier Hernandez has paid tribute to Juan Carlos Osorio shortly after it was confirmed that he has stepped down from the managerial role with El Tri. The 57-year-old had been with the national team for the past three years where he produced a number of impressive results including a shock win over Germany at the World Cup. Despite this, Osorio snubbed the prospect of a contract extension with El Tri and he has now decided to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Amidst this, Hernandez has taken his time to praise Osorio via his Instagram account and believes the Mexican was one of the best managers he has worked under during the course of a nine-year international career, he penned: “Thank you for these three years, profe. Thanks for so much. There are mixed feelings. The thankfulness is what sticks out the most because our paths crossed.

Mexican football Federation has revealed that they are no rush when it comes to taking a decision on the future of Juan Carlos Osorio. The Mexican coach has been widely linked with managerial jobs with other national teams after performing reasonably well with Mexico in recent campaigns. The 57-year-old took charge of Mexico back in 2015 after having previously been involved only in club football. He has been in charge of teams like São Paulo and the New York Red Bulls in the past. However, his biggest success has come with Mexico after averaging more than two points per game.
Mexico, though, were unable to make a major impact at the World Cup and were knocked out at the round of 16 by Brazil. This was yet another disappointing round of 16 exit for the central American team. However, the achievements ofOsorio have not gone unnoticed with several nations interested in bringing the 57-year-old as their new manager. There are reports that United States have been able to enter into a precontract agreement with the manager while Argentina are also reported to be keeping tabs on the situation. Colombia could enter into the race to signOsorio if Jose Pekerman leaves his position after a disappointing World Cup.

New PSV Eindhoven manager Mark van Bommel has said that he has not given up on keeping Hirving Lozano at the club beyond the summer. The Mexico international was one among the standout performer for his national team during the World Cup and this has spread speculation of him pursuing a big-money move elsewhere.
Despite this, Van Bommel remains optimistic of keeping Lozano and insists that any potential sale must be accompanied by an ideal replacement, he said: “I do not take into account a departure from Lozano. We do not want to lose him. If we can say no to a bid of forty or fifty million euros? Yes, that’s possible. We want the Champions League and we will do everything we can. In addition, we are not a club of ‘we only sell and buy a different one.’ No. There must always be a good replacement available. We did not want to keep Luuk de Jong for nothing and we succeeded.”

Germany international Toni Kroos has stressed that the reigning champions have no room for error following the 1-0 defeat to Mexico in their opening game of the World Cup. Joachim Loew’s side were widely tipped to start their World Cup defence with a win but they were caught short at the back by a hard-working Mexico side.
As such, the pressure has begun mounting on Germany and Kroos believes the nation must secure six points from their remaining games to have any chance of topping the group, he said: “We're under real pressure now. We have to get six points from the next games. We didn't play well enough. Overall, we had our chances, but we weren't able to score. We lost the ball up front far too easily and Mexico had always two or three people up front, who we failed to block efficiently.”
